C.H. Robinson is a leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our pricing strategies within the Global Forwarding team.
Position Summary
As a Pricing Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing bid and quote activities, focusing on both air and ocean freight pricing. Your role will involve collaborating with various offices and corporate services to deliver competitive pricing solutions tailored to customer needs.
Work Environment
We value the importance of in-person collaboration to drive innovation and success. In this position, you will work on-site four days a week, fostering creativity and achieving impactful results, with the flexibility of remote work one day a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement pricing processes and service agreements that fulfill the pricing requirements of commercial teams while maintaining accurate pricing data.
- Handle daily pricing inquiries and ensure timely responses for both new and existing clients across specific modes and trade lanes.
- Conduct thorough checks of bid submissions and awards, ensuring accurate uploads to our pricing ecosystem.
- Manage site administration tasks related to opportunities, including document registration and downloads.
- Track and report monthly progress towards established goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide support to offices regarding pricing issues and troubleshoot bid award challenges.
- Analyze data from diverse sources to derive insights and formulate effective pricing strategies.
- Evaluate capacity metrics from current providers to ensure operational feasibility.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new ones that can enhance efficiency.
- Gain insights into warehouse capabilities, product storage types, and market costs to optimize customer solutions.
- Collaborate with internal sales and pricing teams, participate in customer discussions regarding pricing and analysis, and regularly update management on pricing initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience in operations, customer service, or pricing.
- Fluency in both French and English.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in logistics, preferably with C.H. Robinson or similar organizations.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and prioritization abilities.
- Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
