C.H. Robinson is a leading logistics provider, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Paris Global Forwarding team as a Pricing Specialist.
Role Overview
As a Pricing Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing all bid and quote activities. Your primary responsibility will be to process and deliver multi-modal pricing responses for air and ocean transportation, tailored to various business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with our network of offices, corporate shared services, and customers to devise the most competitive solutions that cater to customer needs.

In this role, you will work alongside your peers on-site four days a week, fostering creativity and driving significant results. You will also have the flexibility to work remotely one day a week, striking a balance between teamwork and individual autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement pricing processes and service level agreements with the branch network to meet commercial pricing needs while maintaining pricing data within our bid ecosystem.
- Manage and respond to daily pricing requests, ensuring compliance with assigned deadlines and service level agreements for both new and existing customers across specific modes, products, or trade lanes.
- Conduct thorough checks of bid submissions and awards, ensuring accurate uploads to our Bid Ecosystem.
- Administer certain websites based on opportunities, utilizing administration tools for setup, registration, and document management.
- Monitor and report monthly progress towards assigned goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Assist offices with pricing-related issues, troubleshooting, and resolving problems concerning bid awards.
- Analyze data from various sources to derive insights and formulate effective pricing strategies.
- Align capacity measurements from current drayage providers to ensure operational execution is feasible.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new suppliers that can meet our operational needs more effectively.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of warehouse capabilities, including storage product types and associated costs in each market, to drive effective customer solutions and pricing.
- Develop relationships with internal sales and pricing teams, participate in customer calls to discuss pricing and analysis reports, and regularly communicate with management regarding the status of pricing opportunities and initiatives aimed at enhancing pricing activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, customer service, or pricing.
- Fluency in both French and English.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commercial experience within C.H. Robinson or external logistics experience.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and collaborate with others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated skills in prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
