The Pricing Data Analyst will primarily ensure that client and matter rate information is consistently aligned across all platforms, adhering to the engagement framework and external counsel guidelines. This role will emphasize pricing and rates outside the United States. Additionally, the Pricing Data Analyst will analyze data to support pricing proposals and matter budgets for attorneys, oversee alternative fee arrangements, provide reports to both internal and external stakeholders, and assist in the annual standard rate review process. Basic finance reporting and analysis tasks may also be assigned as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise rate cards and electronic billing templates for proposed client pricing structures and rate submissions.
- Collect and input financial data, including an analysis of existing client and matter-level rate information.
- Review and update the billing system to ensure that client and matter fee arrangements comply with the engagement framework and external counsel guidelines.
- Enter financial and non-financial data into the firm's systems and evaluate compliance with internal and external budgeting policies.
- Maintain and oversee the client budget tracking system, auditing existing client budgets weekly for accuracy.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new timekeepers in the financial systems.
- Analyze client and matter-level rate information, including addressing inquiries related to timekeeper rates.
- Create Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports to ensure data governance and integrity.
- Collaborate with the team on testing and developing user acceptance testing (UAT) for new BI reporting tools and system updates.
- Manage resources and content on the intranet, collaboration website, and document management system.
- Work closely with billing, pricing, and finance teams on overall rate-related requests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a business or financial analyst, management accountant, or in a similar capacity preferred.
- Experience in professional services or law firms is highly valued.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French or German is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Competence in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Business Intelligence (and Business Applications) development, particularly with Alteryx and Tableau.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
