Position Overview

The Head of Production Procurement will be responsible for steering the purchasing strategy and objectives of the department in alignment with Turnpoint's overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide a team of five professionals, ensuring effective management and support.
  • Establish performance targets, provide training, and facilitate the professional growth of team members.
  • Collaborate with various departments to guarantee the effective execution of purchasing processes and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, addressing quality and safety concerns as well as resolving disputes.
  • Develop and oversee the departmental budget, ensuring financial accountability.
  • Implement and monitor purchasing performance metrics, providing reports to the Management Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing protocols among team members and relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage with business units to advocate for optimal purchasing practices and assess the current supplier base.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of purchasing processes and tools.
  • Directly handle a substantial purchasing portfolio that includes raw materials, intellectual services, and waste management.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a degree in technical fields, business administration, or procurement management.
  • Bring a minimum of 15 years of procurement experience within an industrial and global context, including team leadership.
  • Demonstrate expertise in procurement processes and contract legislation.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation skills and fluency in English for international supplier communications.
  • Be a proactive leader with persuasive abilities, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
