Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the purchasing operations within our production department at Turnpoint. This role is pivotal in aligning the purchasing strategy with the overall objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the procurement strategy to meet departmental and corporate goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of five procurement specialists, fostering their growth and professional development.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective implementation of procurement practices and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, addressing any quality or safety concerns that may arise.
  • Establish and oversee the departmental budget, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators for procurement, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies among team members and stakeholders.
  • Engage with business units to advocate for best procurement practices and assess the current supplier landscape.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools.
  • Directly manage a diverse purchasing portfolio, including raw materials and services.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a degree in a relevant field such as technical, business administration, or procurement management.
  • Bring at least 15 years of experience in procurement within an industrial and global context, including team leadership.
  • Demonstrate expertise in procurement processes and contractual agreements.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation skills and fluency in English for international supplier communications.
  • Be a proactive leader with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
