HVAC Construction Lead

Altrad is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Construction Lead to manage and oversee the HVAC construction activities for a major nuclear new build project.
Key Responsibilities:- Construction Leadership: Lead the HVAC construction activities, ensuring alignment with overall project goals, timelines, and safety and quality standards.
- Project Execution: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all HVAC construction activities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work in close collaboration with the Client, design partners, and other stakeholders to ensure HVAC systems are designed and constructed to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all HVAC construction activities comply with nuclear safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with HVAC construction activities, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of HVAC construction professionals, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure all HVAC construction activities meet or exceed industry standards.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring that all HVAC construction activities prioritize the health and safety of personnel and the protection of the environment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer (CEng), Certified HVAC Designer) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVAC construction within the nuclear or energy sectors, with a proven track record in new build EPC projects, particularly on brownfield sites.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, nuclear safety regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Willingness to travel to various sites and work extended hours as required by the project.
