Senior Cloud Architect - Energy and Sustainability

We're looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK and help our customers accelerate the global energy transition. As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will work with a talented team to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems and accelerate the customer cloud journey.

You will have ownership of the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organization by helping to hire, coach, and mentor others.

In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional or military relevant work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (English and French) in both technical and strategic engagements with senior leaders
  • Significant depth of experience in one or more of: cloud solutions, virtualization platforms, software development, operational management practices and frameworks, front-end/full-stack, customer experience, and design-centered development/architecture
  • Understanding of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems, and networking connectivity
  • Fluency in a high-level programming language such as Python, JS, or modern approaches to infrastructure-as-code
