Meissner Filtration Products is in search of a Lead Applications Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team. This role will report to the Applications Engineering Supervisor based in the United States.
Our Applications Engineering team is expanding globally to meet the increasing market demands. As part of a dynamic team of engineers, you will be responsible for tailoring Meissner's technology platforms to meet the specific needs of end-users, playing a vital role in the manufacturing of medicines. This team supports clients worldwide by overseeing the creation of innovative, efficient, and cost-effective process solutions while ensuring a robust supply chain, establishing market value, facilitating a smooth transition to production, and providing the necessary technical support for successful implementation.
Your Impact:
- Ensure that processes and products adhere to cGMP standards and align with the regulatory requirements of our pharmaceutical clientele.
- Comprehend how regulatory bodies influence the design and development of single-use systems tailored for European clients, and communicate insights back to the team in Castlebar and the global Applications Engineering team.
- Build strategic partnerships with our customers as a trusted technical advisor.
- Serve as the primary resource for customer inquiries regarding single-use systems and filtration, establishing yourself as a subject matter expert (SME) in various domains.
- Prepare and deliver presentations at industry conferences on topics within your area of expertise.
- Actively participate in the AE Mentoring Program, mentoring at least two newer team members.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development and other relevant teams to foster positive and cooperative technical relationships with clients in EMEA and surrounding regions.
- Help maintain and enhance product utilization while supporting relevant internal teams through leading on-site and virtual technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Provide frontline training and troubleshooting assistance related to the implementation of Meissner's technology platforms at client facilities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited institution. A Master's degree (M.S.) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a technical specialist in single-use systems and technologies within the pharmaceutical sector. Experience in filtration is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, showcasing strong self-motivation and time management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to client facilities and Meissner locations globally, which may constitute 25% or more of your time.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical literature, financial reports, and legal documents.
