Job Description

As a key member of our Grid Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in driving the commercial strategy for our Large & Complex projects, primarily focused on HVDC solutions. Your primary objective will be to facilitate relationships with external customers and partners through the tendering process, ensuring successful implementation of plans to differentiate from competition in the eyes of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the commercial strategy to deliver order intake and associated CM and cash, contributing to the region's goals for orders, CM, and Down Payments targets.
  • Be an active member of the GSI NSE Commercial & Tendering organisation, responsible for forecast management for deals allocated to your scope of work.
  • Define, drive, and ensure successful implementation of plans to positively differentiate from competition in the eyes of our customers, in close coordination with the Region OTR leadership.
  • Lead deal reviews/approvals in accordance with underlying delegation of authority, up to corporate level, ensuring ITO Policy process compliance, including risk management process rigor and compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate the NSE Region commercial & proposal management team, Product Delivery Group teams, other Grid Solution Businesses, and consortium partners (when applicable) to deliver on-time and high-quality proposals and subsequent clarification responses.
  • Identify and structure resources to support tender preparation and submission, providing hands-on leadership for deals you are following and driving development of high-performing ITO tender teams.
  • Negotiate large and complex tenders, driving and/or supporting HVDC business development actions with support from the GSI tendering & expert teams from the early stages of identification opportunities (pre-RFI).
  • Contribute to the improvement of and compliance with processes, managing and improving regional operating metrics, ensuring compliance, integrity, and EHS standards are met, and supporting and/or driving global initiatives and simplification efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Extensive and demonstrated years of experience in a leadership position in sales, tendering, or operation.
  • Experience in Grid Solutions and Turnkey is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 40% plus.
