We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Origination team in France. As Head of Origination France, you will be responsible for scaling up our portfolio of non-standard power, multi-commodity, and guarantees of origin contracts in the French market.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a highly professional and talented team of originators
- Work closely with other Origination Heads and Head of Portfolio Management for new deal origination, structuring, and pricing
- Identify, develop, negotiate, and execute complex structured energy transactions with embedded optionality in the French markets
- Actively support in the development of a long-term price curve and market price levels for illiquid and exotic long-term risks
- Develop and maintain relationships with large buyers of electricity, upstream generators, IPPs, project developers, investors, banks, utilities, and merchant traders
- University degree in economics, engineering, business, or similar
- Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in energy markets, previous relevant commercial experience in the French power market
- Relevant management experience and strong management skills
- Proven track record in the valuation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of bespoke non-standard structured power/certificates/cross-commodity transactions
- Experience and familiarity with non-standard power contract terms, long-term renewable off-take agreements/PPAs, and master trade agreements
- Strong understanding of European power market fundamentals, interconnections, generation assets, market players, and market regulations
- Solid quantitative modelling skills
- Strong team player able to cooperate with internal support desks to manage the deal lifecycle
- Fluent in French and excellent communication skills in English
