Origination Director France

Statkraft is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the French Origination team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Scaling up the portfolio of non-standard power, multi-commodity, and guarantees of origin contracts in the French market.
- Managing, developing, and growing a highly professional and talented team of originators.
- Working closely with the other Origination Heads and Head of Portfolio Management for new deal origination, structuring, and pricing.
- Identifying, developing, negotiating, and executing complex structured energy transactions with embedded optionality in the French markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with large buyers of electricity, upstream generators, IPPs, project developers, investors, banks, utilities, and merchant traders.
- Actively support in the development of a long-term price curve and market price levels for illiquid and exotic long-term risks.
Requirements:
- University degree in economics, engineering, business, or similar.
- Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in energy markets, previous relevant commercial experience in the French power market.
- Relevant management experience and strong management skills.
- Proven track record in the valuation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of bespoke non-standard structured power/certificates/cross-commodity transactions.
