Position OverviewRole Summary:
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient daily functioning of the hotel's information technology and telecommunications systems. This role requires a proactive approach, balancing hands-on technical contributions with managerial responsibilities to fulfill the position's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute technology-related processes and systems, including telecommunications Ensure the maintenance of IT systems, managing software and hardware to provide 24/7 support through effective procedures and troubleshooting Diagnose software and hardware issues to identify and rectify deficiencies and irregularities Guarantee reliable data backup and emergency recovery operations to uphold data integrity Assist in the selection and implementation of new systems to ensure proper integration and functionality Manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance and project completion Report on the status of IT and telecommunications operations to the Director of Finance and Business Support Evaluate technology-related operations and equipment for optimal efficiency and productivity Maintain comprehensive records of all system modifications, updates, and enhancements Assess hotel and user requirements to evaluate the feasibility of requested enhancements Oversee the installation of software and hardware upgrades in line with corporate policies and legal standards Lead a team of IT Technicians, focusing on managerial and developmental aspects Prioritize user department workflows and recommend procedural improvements Anticipate future business needs and profitability Develop training initiatives to enhance user proficiency with systems Coordinate system projects from initial setup through to installation, testing, and support Analyze issues to maximize revenue and control costs associated with telecommunications Ensure adherence to established procedures, security protocols, and internal controls Schedule routine maintenance and oversee daily functions to ensure system integrity Provide strategic leadership on operational processes aligned with overall business objectives Establish and promote service level agreements and offerings Perform additional duties as assigned QualificationsStrong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills Excellent problem-solving capabilities Effective team leadership and guest interaction skills Commitment to teamwork and collective success Driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Robust technical expertise, including: In-depth knowledge of operating systems, management of PMS, telecommunications systems, and network architecture 2-3 years of experience in an IT supervisory or management role within a luxury hotel or conference setting Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in related fields
Familiarity with audio/visual systems is advantageous.
