ArcelorMittal is committed to reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, and the use of scrap steel is a key lever in reducing CO2 emissions from steelmaking. To achieve this goal, BD Recycling was established in 2022 as a new division. Our strategy focuses on securing opportunities in the scrap market to establish ArcelorMittal as a major player in the metal recycling industry while ensuring access to the required volumes of scrap to support our decarbonization strategy.

We are seeking a dedicated CEO France to lead our scrap business in the French market through greenfield projects and acquisitions. This role reports directly to the CEO of the Business Division Recycling.

In this position, you will be responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of the region, driving profitable business and strategic growth through greenfield projects and acquisitions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in leading regional teams to become a key player in the scrap market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a metal recycling business strategy for the Business Division in the French market, in close collaboration with BD Business Development Management.
  • Ensure the effective coordination and execution of strategy through greenfield projects and acquisitions with regional management teams.
  • Participate in the implementation of greenfield projects, including coordination of technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects in close collaboration with the CTO team.
  • Utilize your network and knowledge of the metal recycling market to identify potential targets for acquisition or partnerships.
  • Manage teams and support them in achieving their objectives.
  • Develop and monitor budgets with commitments in terms of investment, financial (EBITDA, cash flow & ROCE), materials, and human resources.
  • Ensure the proper integration of new acquisitions and the application of AM Group procedures.
  • Analyze activity data, identify areas for development, and define action plans for improvement, implement, and monitor them.
  • Ensure efficient communication with the BD Recycling management team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote the AM group's health and safety policy within local teams.

Qualifications:

  • Significant professional leadership experience.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Knowledge of recycling industry practices and market dynamics in France, with proven experience in waste management and metal recycling business a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactivity with ambition to develop business from scratch.
  • Results-oriented with a strong performance record, able to drive performance and profitability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation.
