Job Title: Team Leader - Operations

Overview:

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations related to the reception, sorting, packaging, storage, and dispatch of materials, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Provide direction and motivation to team members.
  • Manage projects and lead teams effectively.
  • Enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and social regulations.
  • Monitor team development in line with organizational requirements.

Risk Management:

  • Assess the environmental implications of operations (e.g., recyclable material rates, hazardous waste management).
  • Safeguard the health and safety of team members and promote a culture of risk prevention.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

Planning and Organization:

  • Develop work plans based on production targets and various constraints.
  • Create daily and weekly schedules for sorting and machine operation staff.
  • Ensure equipment availability for operational needs.

Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise the execution of flow management guidelines.
  • Adjust management of incoming materials based on production demands.
  • Notify management of any discrepancies from expected outcomes.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in storage to protect personnel and assets.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks of materials.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in data entry for operational units in information systems.
  • Complete necessary administrative documentation.

Equipment Oversight:

  • Coordinate with other leaders to ensure equipment availability and maintenance.
  • Manage requests for necessary operational supplies.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Enhance work organization in alignment with flow management.
  • Review daily reports from operators and ensure timely data entry.
  • Track and improve productivity through performance indicators.
  • Engage in regular reviews and implement strategies for productivity enhancement.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Skills:

Proficient knowledge of materials and equipment, with the ability to plan and organize sorting operations effectively.

Educational Background:

Degree ranging from Bachelor's to Master's level.

Professional Experience:

Experience in material handling, industrial engineering, and team leadership.
