The Business Unit Parts and Field Service operates globally, employing standardized practices and tools to deliver optimal services to our clients. We are in search of a Field Service Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the maintenance operations within our Field Service division.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing international service projects focused on the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of customer assets. Your duties will include:
- Leading and coordinating Field Service operations, encompassing personnel management, spare parts logistics, cost control, and scheduling.
- Overseeing multiple service assignments concurrently.
- Supporting field service personnel during job assignments, including briefing and debriefing engineers.
- Planning and preparing projects while monitoring Field Service performance indicators.
- Acting as the primary contact for customers from project initiation through to invoicing.
- Facilitating communication among customers, engineers, and sales teams throughout the service delivery process.
- Promoting effective collaboration with other departments (Technical Service, Sales Proposals, Contract Management, etc.) to ensure the satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring and supervising actions necessary to ensure customer satisfaction with assigned Field Service tasks.
- Managing service work orders through to invoicing, including handling change orders, technical documentation, timesheets, travel expenses, and vendor invoices.
- Administering all jobs in SAP and CRM (ServiceWorkForce).
- Ensuring that engineers adhere to Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards as well as customer protocols.
Qualifications:
- Background in mechanical engineering or related technical field, with experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Technical knowledge of marine products and services, as well as internal combustion engines, is advantageous.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Proficiency in standard office software; familiarity with SAP and Salesforce is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in managing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional customer service aptitude.
- Proficiency in English is required.
