Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

Location: Commutable to one of our offices in Farnborough, Whiteley, or Bristol (1-2 days a week)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team at Leidos Innovations UK. The successful candidate will assist and report directly to the Head of Contracts/Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contract terms and conditions as the lead for existing contracts with key customers.
  • Lead contractual interactions with the Customer.
  • Represent the Contracts team at customer meetings, presenting to the Customer and advising on the status of contractual issues and resolution.
  • Lead the commercial evaluation and preparation of contract change proposals.
  • Scrutinize and govern contract change proposals; provide high-quality contract drafting and negotiate proposals through to signature.
  • Manage and draft customer communications in support of programme delivery.
  • Own the contract management and contract compliance activities for the programme.
  • Proactively manage customer disputes and complaints.
  • Provide timely commercial advice to project and delivery teams in support of management and delivery of the programme.
  • Review, scrutinize, and develop operational process flows.
  • Ensure that the financial aspects and impact of the contract are clear to all parties.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance, understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the customer commercial/contracts team.
  • Ability to operate independently and communicate effectively, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a pressurized environment.
  • Provides commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of the contract.
  • Strong comprehension of programme technical performance metrics and financial status.
  • Extensive experience of managing commercial and contractual elements of a contract change pipeline.
  • Extensive experience of in-life contract management and contract compliance.
  • Strong negotiator.
  • Strong collaborator.
  • Commercially astute.
  • High attention to detail.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS.
  • Clearance for Role SC HO.
