Your Role
As part of the Global Projects Centre East (GPC East), which oversees project execution in Africa, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, you will play a crucial role within the Supply Chain department, specifically in the Category Management division. Your responsibilities will include the sourcing and early engagement of suppliers for umbilicals, flexibles, and cables products. Additionally, you will manage market consultations, conduct final negotiations, and prepare subcontracts for complex products relevant to the Oil & Gas and renewables sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct commercial and contractual analyses, evaluate bid schedules, and integrate technical assessments from Engineering, QA, QC, and HSE.
- Compile bid summaries and provide recommendations to the project team.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, including framework agreements when applicable.
- Enhance commercial expertise in the umbilicals, flexibles, and cables category.
- Engage in the sourcing of new suppliers.
- Foster collaborative relationships with suppliers and gain insights into key suppliers' organizations, processes, and facilities.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in a relevant field (Engineering or Business); an Engineering degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years of industry experience.
- Experience with umbilicals or flexibles is a plus.
- A solid understanding of technical issues and comprehensive knowledge of the offshore industry and its complexities.
- Technical awareness or prior experience in managing umbilicals or flexibles subcontracts is beneficial.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, along with a strategic mindset.
