Your Future Responsibilities
Embrace a new opportunity to leverage your strategic and analytical skills in a pioneering environment. Collaborate with innovative and supportive colleagues as you oversee the Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) for medium to highly critical proposals, ensuring our clients receive competitive and thorough submissions. Your daily activities will involve close collaboration with various departments (Engineering, Finance, Sales) to deliver winning proposals with precise scope and QCDP commitments promptly.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting pretendering activities when necessary.
- Coordinating internal efforts to identify and comprehend customer requirements.
- Advocating for the company and its offerings.
- Influencing customer specifications through coordinated internal activities.
- Ensuring adherence to Alstom's policies and guidelines (PMT-PRO-001, Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality, Project Management Manual, etc.).
- Collaborating closely with the Tender Leader and the entire tender team, including subsystem bid managers.
- Managing the budget in accordance with the Tender Costs Authorization Process.
- Leading the tender team effectively.
- Defining the operational strategy for bids.
- Proposing optimal solutions.
- Overseeing QCD optimization in coordination with the Bid Costing Manager.
- Preparing risk and opportunity assessments.
- Compiling necessary documentation for customer submission.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all tender preparation documents (RFP, Q&A, presentations, letters, contracts, etc.) and ensuring traceability until contract finalization.
- Participating in contract negotiations.
- Assessing the feasibility of requested changes against the approved reference.
- Updating QCD data and securing revised commitments from various units, validating QCD commitments for each tender release.
- Ensuring all customer inquiries are addressed in alignment with the commercial strategy.
- Reviewing final contract documents prior to signature.
- Contributing to Return of Experience (REX) through Win-Loss Analysis in collaboration with the Tender Leader and Market Pricing & Strategy.
- Assisting the Project Manager in preparing for the initial project review (CPR0).
About You
We prioritize enthusiasm and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:
- A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with relevant experience in Project/Bid Management (costing, planning, and risk management).
- Familiarity with tender processes and bid management in a complex technical setting.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations pertinent to the rail sector.
- Capability to lead cross-functional teams to meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, fluent in English, with proficiency in French.
- A proven history of crafting successful proposals with a focus on detail and customer orientation.
