Job Title: Technical Agency Specialist
SIMKO, a leading player in the housing sector in Guyana, is seeking a skilled Technical Agency Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Agency, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing maintenance and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement medium-term maintenance plans to ensure optimal property condition
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify maintenance needs and develop strategies to address them
- Assist in creating and managing maintenance budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation
- Oversee project implementation, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety protocols
- Coordinate procurement processes, participate in bid analysis, and manage administrative tasks related to projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and monitor project budgets to report any deviations
- Contribute to internal and external communications regarding projects, providing technical expertise to internal teams
- Participate in safety initiatives and support technical and energy efficiency policies
- Assist in property maintenance and refurbishment, providing technical guidance to internal teams
- Contribute to contract management and monitoring, addressing operational issues and suggesting improvements
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Technology
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of real estate law and technical building aspects
- Valid driver's license and strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
