As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a seasoned and driven Vice President of Sales Operations to be based in France, responsible for shaping the company's commercial strategy across EMEA and the UK.

Utilizing your extensive knowledge in market access, commercial analytics, and sales strategy formulation, you will craft and execute a well-defined sales strategy; establish sales targets aligned with the company's profitability goals; cultivate and maintain both existing and new markets, target customers, and secure new prospects while forecasting sales volumes. You will have direct oversight of the EMEA Sales Teams and Product Management based in the EU.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development & Implementation: Create a clear and actionable sales plan.
  2. Management of Product Management Teams for Life Science Tools & Consumables: Oversee the complete product lifecycle, ensuring product offerings meet market demands and customer expectations, providing support during complex product launches and strategic decision-making.
  3. Leadership of Sales Teams: Inspire, motivate, and unify team members around a cohesive sales strategy, organize and coordinate commercial activities, assess employee performance, and facilitate their professional growth.
  4. Sales Target Achievement & Performance Monitoring: Ensure that both individual and collective objectives are met, achieve sales, market share, and business funnel development goals, report to the CEO, and optimize sales action plans as necessary.
  5. Collaboration within a Matrix Organization: Navigate multiple reporting lines and work collaboratively across various functions and regions, fostering a cooperative environment, building strong relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of global commercial initiatives.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree (Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a closely related field) and possess a strong background in life science instrumentation (chromatography and mass spectrometry) and consumables. To excel in this role, you should bring over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and product management, with a focus on strategy development, business planning, and marketing.

You will also demonstrate a thorough understanding of sales techniques, marketing tools, and methodologies, along with a solid grasp of the market landscape and key players in the sector.

Willingness to travel 50% of the time is essential, as is regular attendance at the headquarters in central France (approximately 2-3 days per week). Proficiency in both French and English is required.
