Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Law Specialist to support our operations in France and other European markets. This role will focus on delivering comprehensive legal support, managing risks, and overseeing corporate governance. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including our teams in Lyon and across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal assistance to our corporate functions and clinics, including drafting agreements, lease contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  2. M&A Support: Assist with mergers and acquisitions projects, working with external counsel to prepare internal briefs, conduct due diligence, and finalize transaction documents.
  3. Risk Management: Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks effectively and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  4. External Counsel Management: Oversee the use of external counsel to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: LL.M or equivalent French law degree.
  • Experience: At least 7 years in private practice or senior in-house legal roles, preferably in healthcare or veterinary sectors.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in French corporate law and M&A, familiarity with real estate and employment law, and experience in regulatory topics related to the veterinary sector or broader healthcare sector.
  • Competencies: Excellent analytical and organizational skills, ability to manage complex legal matters, strong communication and negotiation abilities, responsible, proactive, and able to work effectively in ambiguous environments.
  • Languages: Proficient in English and French is mandatory, any other European language is a plus.
Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately €90,000, based on industry standards and the location of the job. We offer a competitive benefits package, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
