Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Surface Measurement Systems Ltd is a leading provider of innovative scientific instruments and techniques for advanced materials characterization. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team and provide technical support to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain SMS DVS Instruments in assigned territories.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on all SMS Instruments.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring they are properly calibrated.
  • Provide timely and detailed feedback on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality, and design issues to the Line Manager.
  • Assist other Field Service Engineers out of territory when needed and workload permits.
  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Develop a close working relationship with customers to provide assistance and guidance towards developing an action plan for additional SMS sales (Service Maintenance Contracts, Upgrades, Scientific Services, or new equipment).
  • Work with sales to identify new Instrument prospects and provide technical support during pre and post-sales activity.
