POSITION SUMMARY

The Front Desk Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless guest experience. Responsibilities include assisting team members with resolving payment issues, ensuring guest satisfaction, and managing the check-in process by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys. The supervisor will handle various payment methods, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit, while setting up accurate accounts for each guest upon arrival.

Anticipating sold-out situations is essential, as is securing satisfactory alternative accommodations when necessary. The supervisor will block rooms in the system and identify specific requirements and requests from guests. Effective communication with departments such as Housekeeping and Bell Services is vital to address guest requests and issues promptly. Maintaining a log of shift activities and balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts are also key responsibilities.

In addition to operational duties, the supervisor will assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff. They will serve as a role model and first point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring adherence to company policies and maintaining a professional appearance. The supervisor will also be responsible for reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions and completing necessary safety training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Supervisory Experience: No prior supervisory experience required.

License or Certification: None required.
