Job Title: Deputy Director of Retail Operations

Description: In this role, you will assist the Retail Director in executing commercial strategies, procurement, and operational management. Your passion for the field and expertise in the fresh produce sector will be key to your success.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a retail space of 8,000 m2
  • Lead a team of 220 staff members
  • Enhance and maintain the store's profitability in alignment with the commercial strategy
  • Establish sales targets, evaluate performance, and recommend improvements
  • Manage procurement processes while adhering to product range and margin guidelines
  • Execute the commercial policy for product offerings
  • Supervise human resources operations
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
  • Design and implement communication initiatives

Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Retail Director or Manager of the Fresh Food Department in a large hypermarket, preferably in an independent setting. You should be proactive, innovative, self-sufficient, and an exceptional leader. A strong enthusiasm for fresh products and collaboration with teams is essential.
