Position Title: Project Manager Congo
Reporting To: Operations Manager

Core Responsibilities
The Project Manager for Congo is responsible for overseeing specific projects within the region. This role involves directing the Party Chief to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with established procedures and meet client specifications.
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.1 Project Operations
a) Support the Operations Manager in organizing project activities.
b) Develop project protocols and financial plans.
c) Verify safety requirements specific to each project.
d) Conduct briefings for the Party Chief and survey teams.
e) Ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations.
f) Maintain communication with clients.
g) Monitor project performance metrics.
h) Review and authorize contract modifications.
i) Oversee field expenses.
j) Allocate necessary resources effectively.
1.2 Additional Responsibilities
a) Engage actively in the enhancement of the company’s Management System regarding Quality and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) matters.
b) If necessary, prepare a project-specific safety plan.
c) Conduct project briefings that include HSE topics relevant to the project.
d) Identify the need for additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
e) Train field personnel on emergency protocols.
f) Guide field staff on incident reporting and ensure thorough investigations of reported occurrences.
g) Be available for temporary coverage of other roles within the organization when required.
h) Implement company policies effectively.
2. Essential Working Relationships
a) Keep the Operations Manager informed about ongoing project developments.
b) Collaborate with the Party Chief and senior field personnel regarding project execution and status updates.
c) Work with Tender Estimators to clarify project needs and provide technical insights for tenders.
d) Update the Data Management Manager on relevant project requirements.
e) Direct Technical Support staff, the Logistics Manager, and the Workshop Coordinator on project needs.
f) Notify the Operations Assistant of necessary travel arrangements.
g) This position operates on a rotational schedule.
3. Qualifications and Experience
a) A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in surveying or engineering.
b) Minimum years of experience in project management roles.
c) Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
d) Proficiency with relevant equipment and software.
e) Proficient in English; knowledge of French is preferred.
