Job Title: Sales Engineer

Maag Pump Systems, Automatik Plastics Machinery, Maag Gala Industries, Reduction Engineering Scheer, Ettlinger, AMN, and Witte have come together to form a global partner for the polymer industry. As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers, we offer top-grade equipment for demanding requirements in the polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to develop sales of MAAG equipment in the North-West half of France for all our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, including maintaining and nurturing the existing customer base, seeking out business opportunities, and negotiating bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and nurture the existing customer base through regular and rigorous sales follow-up.
  • Seek out business opportunities and pass on all the information needed to prepare bids to our factories and their technical experts.
  • Proactively develop a forward-looking approach to win new accounts.
  • Organise visits to the area and make appointments independently.
  • Respond to customer requests by providing technical advice specific to their needs.
  • Monitor business throughout the sales cycle, including costing, invoicing, receipts, order tracking, and payment tracking.
  • Help ensure that commissioning runs smoothly.
  • Manage customer relations throughout the technical phase.
  • Report regularly to your manager.
  • Propose and/or take part in promotional and marketing operations such as trade fairs and mailings.
Requirements

Dual training in technical and commercial fields is required. Knowledge of the plastics industry, including extrusion, granulation, and filtration, is essential, with at least 5 years' successful experience in manufacturers of single or twin screw extruders, peripherals, or competitors.

We may also consider profiles with commercial experience in the sale of equipment to industry outside the plastics industry, depending on the candidate's potential to fit into the MAAG structure.
