We are seeking a Financial Control Manager for the Western region, responsible for overseeing the financial management and accounting functions within Belgium, the Netherlands, and France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Accounting and Financial Control teams in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards for both entity and group reporting.
  • Oversee internal control measures in accordance with SOX regulations.
  • Drive and engage in projects aimed at enhancing financial reporting and operational efficiency (including SAP implementations and PSCI migrations).
Role Scope


• Supervise month-end closing processes and reporting for the respective entities, ensuring accuracy in financial data for both internal and external reports.

• Validate or calculate financial journal entries in line with local and US GAAP standards, with a focus on France.

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions in France.

• Assess financial implications in legal agreements, contingencies, and revenue recognition as per local and US GAAP.

• Oversee internal control processes for SOX compliance.

• Conduct research on technical accounting matters to ensure compliance.

• Lead initiatives related to financial reporting and operational improvements.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors.

• Ensure accurate reporting within the ERP system.

• Authorize banking transactions and payments.

• Ensure timely submission of periodic and annual tax filings.

• Comply with other statutory reporting obligations (social security, Banque de France, Insee, etc.).

Required Qualifications


• A university degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in a large corporate setting, demonstrating a successful track record in addressing business challenges.

• Proficiency in English and French is essential.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with SOX compliance controls.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all work.

• Self-motivated individual capable of taking initiative and working independently to meet reporting and project deadlines.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and direct a diverse team.

• Ability to work effectively within a remote team environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
