Position Overview

The Director of Site Management and Commissioning plays a crucial role in overseeing the construction and commissioning processes within ENGIE Bioz. This position is integral to ensuring that projects align with the strategic objectives of the organization.

ENGIE Bioz is dedicated to advancing the production of renewable and low-carbon gases across Europe. With a focus on sustainability, the company has been actively involved in biomethane production and aims to significantly expand its capacity in the coming years.

Role Responsibilities

Strategic Development:

  • Formulate and propose comprehensive strategies for construction and commissioning that align with ENGIE Bioz's overarching goals.
  • Design and execute a detailed construction and commissioning roadmap, establishing clear objectives and timelines.
  • Enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) specifically for construction and commissioning, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project execution effectively.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of tailored Execution Plans for specific projects.
  • Facilitate project reviews and reporting to ensure timely decision-making and risk management.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Construction and Commissioning team, fostering a collaborative and communicative environment.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and performance management within project teams.
  • Implement professional development initiatives in line with organizational standards.
  • Monitor workload distribution to optimize team efficiency and competence utilization.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

  • Promote a strong HSE culture within the team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and practices.
  • Collaborate with HSE teams to achieve zero incidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate training and certifications relevant to their roles.

Quality Assurance:

  • Instill a quality-centric approach within the construction and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in audits to ensure compliance with the QMS and facilitate continuous improvement.

Knowledge Sharing:

  • Organize training sessions to enhance understanding of construction and commissioning processes among project teams.
  • Support cost estimation and execution forecasting during project development phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and document reviews.
  • Facilitate the Return of Experience process to drive improvements and share best practices.
Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing industrial projects, preferably in the bioenergy sector.
  • Extensive experience in site construction and commissioning.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing construction processes.
  • Experience in resource planning and managing diverse teams.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English and French is essential for effective communication with international teams.
