Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional in risk and actuarial disciplines, particularly with a focus on Property & Casualty (P&C) operations and Risk Management. This position is integral to our Group Finance and Risk Management Audit team, which evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
As an Actuarial & Risk Internal Auditor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting internal audit reviews specifically related to Risk Management and P&C actuarial matters.
- Supporting subsidiary internal audit teams in their assessments of P&C and Risk Management actuarial topics.
- Developing and maintaining audit programs that address P&C and Risk Management themes, ensuring adherence to operational standards across the Group.
- Reporting quarterly audit findings to senior management, including the Group Chief Risk Officer.
- Contributing to the establishment of the Risk Management & Actuarial Community, which comprises approximately 100 professionals.
- Assisting in the development of research and development tools, including data analytics and reporting tools.
- Participating in recruitment and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities in actuarial and risk management audits.
- Engaging in special projects that require technical expertise as directed by the Head of Finance and Risk Audit.
- Networking with other actuarial professionals within the Group to identify new audit opportunities.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A robust technical understanding of the P&C insurance sector, including Pricing, Underwriting, and Internal Models, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in auditing technical risk management concepts.
- Effective qualitative risk-based thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to travel occasionally.
- A solid grasp of Solvency II and IFRS17 is highly advantageous.
