We are seeking a Technical Software Support Specialist to join our team in Crolles, France, focusing on the support of our PDC tools.
Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshooting Software Systems – Engage in Microsoft/Networking/Applications troubleshooting (Analyze reported issues, validate solutions, and provide troubleshooting strategies to identify root causes while delivering prompt resolutions to systemic challenges).
· Investigate and resolve internal and external application and system issues of moderate complexity. Proactively learn and address high-value customer problems, systematic bugs, or software failures.
· Software Installation and Imaging – Execute installations and configurations of software and images on ELS/NPI/FIF tools, document and perform first-of-a-kind installations on HVM tools, and develop and train on software procedures.
· Software Testing and Validation – Gather and incorporate customer-specific testing scenarios, construct simulators for testing and troubleshooting, and execute test plans to validate software releases.
· Create, test, and verify installation/upgrade instructions for product releases from Applied Materials.
· Participate in product design, testing, and documentation reviews as appropriate, and engage in user conferences.
· Provide off-hours customer support as scheduled, including pager and cellular telephone coverage.
· Attend relevant classes in designated product lines and external training for third-party software.
· Customer Engagement and Training – Build customer trust in Applied Materials software, consult on Factory Automation scenarios, and address inquiries regarding tool operations and settings.
· Deliver ongoing training to customers and customer engineers on technical products and system issues.
· Assist in analyzing customer operating system performance, integration, and database management challenges, providing updates and reports to management, partners, and peers.
· Support the training of junior engineers in departmental and corporate procedures, as well as detailed product operations.
