Job Title: Emergency Response Coordinator

APATISIIWIN SKILLS DEVELOPMENT is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Mobile Hospital Unit (MHU) and developing best practices for its deployment in emergency situations.

The Emergency Response Coordinator will work closely with internal partners, local and regional entities, and other stakeholders to strengthen the territory's emergency response capabilities. This includes designing procedures for MHU deployment, coordinating with partners, and advising the Director on emergency operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Fluency in Cree and French is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of the MHU
  • Develop best practices for MHU deployment
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners
  • Advise the Director on emergency operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • ~5-7 years of experience in emergency management
  • Strong knowledge of emergency management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
