As the Connected Care Strategic Account Manager, you will lead the One Baxter initiatives across various divisions within strategic accounts.

Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate strong relationships with hospital stakeholders, including business users, management, and C-suite executives, to understand and influence the digital strategy of the hospital while executing account-specific digital initiatives.

Acting as the main liaison for hospital management regarding digital health and connected care, you will help align and prioritize connectivity sales efforts across all Baxter divisions, crafting tailored messaging for digital health discussions with purchasing organizations.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a pivotal role in driving and implementing the go-to-market strategy for Baxter's digital health offerings, which includes:

MARKET DEVELOPMENT: Collaborate with government affairs and market access teams to provide insights on policy trends and market dynamics, informing our digital health strategies at the hospital level. You will serve as the primary contact for C-suite executives in strategic accounts, supporting and advancing the local digital agenda. DIGITAL HEALTH PRIORITIZATION: Act as a change agent and strategic advisor, assisting sales teams in prioritizing and sequencing digital health initiatives within targeted strategic accounts. You will identify and assess stakeholders for both new and existing products in relation to business priorities. PROCUREMENT: Support the team in strategically addressing tenders, aligning the value of digital health initiatives with the hospital's digital roadmap. Provide insights into the health technology assessment landscape to facilitate the launch of digital health solutions.

Role Expectations

Achieve financial objectives and targets to ensure the success of digital health applications within your designated area. Play a supportive role in meeting the financial goals of divisions in your area from a contracting and strategic digital health perspective, sharing responsibility with sales teams. Proactively propose strategies to optimize business opportunities ahead of contracting deadlines. Lead the creation and ownership of the digital health account plan, coordinating the account team from a Connected Care Key Account Management perspective, and facilitating regional commercial meetings with relevant team members. Monitor and ensure the execution of the plan through personal and team efforts. Conduct thorough research to understand the digital roadmap and partnerships of our customers, grasping their vision, financials, and objectives. Gather market intelligence and document it to enhance future planning, while closely monitoring competitive activities and providing feedback to internal stakeholders. As a change agent, incorporate activities that promote regional change initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing between sales and connected care teams. Build collaborative partnerships with key internal stakeholders, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Strategic Alliances, product owners, and Digital Services to support cross-departmental solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferred Master’s degree in Science, Commercial, Medical, or related fields. Over 10 years of significant experience in Digital Health Solutions, Sales, National Accounts, and Bids procedures. Proven ability to establish trust-based relationships with C-suite executives in hospital settings. Strong facilitation and negotiation skills are essential for effectively communicating with senior managers and executives. Demonstrated success in achieving targets and delivering results, with a track record in project planning and execution. Skills in prospecting, relationship building, negotiation, and closing deals, with a passion for identifying and proposing new business opportunities. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in creating clear and persuasive materials. Ability to balance a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics with detailed problem-solving when necessary. Experience managing a matrixed environment and influencing without direct authority. Knowledge of budgetary processes, including P&L management. In-depth understanding of national healthcare systems, political decision-making, and funding mechanisms. Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and learn quickly. Proficiency in English and French; fluency in Dutch is a plus.
