The Pastry Cook will work closely with our Pastry Chefs to prepare a daily assortment of mouth-watering pastries and other baked goods. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and creativity in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and bake food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
  • Become proficient at creating all varieties of pastries and baked goods, including cakes, breads, cookies, scones, and desserts.
  • Become proficient at creating allergy or diet-sensitive pastries.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or 1-2 years of related work experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
