Job Description
The Pastry Cook will work alongside the Pastry Chefs to prepare a daily assortment of mouth-watering pastries and other baked goods.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, season, and bake food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required. Become proficient at creating all varieties of pastries and baked goods including but not limited to cakes, breads, cookies, scones, and desserts. Become proficient at creating allergy or diet sensitive pastries. Follow recipes and presentation specifications. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation. Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.Qualifications
Culinary degree or 1-2 years of related work experience in a high volume kitchen environment Able to meet the physical demands of the position High attention to detail Excellent communication skills
