Business and Project Development Manager

Allegiance Group is seeking an experienced Business and Project Development Manager to join our team in Lyon, France.

This role involves growing the project pipeline in France by identifying opportunities for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from origination to execution, ensuring successful development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:Business Development:
  • Identify and qualify high-potential PV and BESS project sites.
  • Pursue co-development, M&A opportunities to drive strategic growth.
  • Implement commercial strategies to expand our large-scale PV project portfolio.
  • Manage and transform identified sites into secured projects.
  • Build and maintain a reliable network of business providers.
  • Collaborate with the land development team for site prospecting.
Project Management:
  • Report regularly on-site identification and project progress.
  • Conduct pre-feasibility studies based on site constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date client records and support commercial action.
  • Ensure communication between clients, landowners, and the project team.
Commercial:
  • Implement strategies and lead prospecting campaigns.
  • Represent the client at meetings, propose PV offers, and finalize lease agreements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, local administrations, and partners.
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years' experience in solar PV/BESS/wind projects (M&A experience is a plus).
  • Degree in Economics, Technical, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of zoning, environmental/building codes, and grid connections.
  • Ability to assess energy projects economically and legally.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Category B driving license.
