About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Carbon Project Manager to join our team at Reforest'Action. As a key member of our Certified Carbon Project team, you will play a critical role in achieving AFOLU project certification under VCM standards (VCS, Gold standards, VCS +CCB).

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Portfolio Management

Supervise and support the project team throughout the development process, ensuring operational performance and certification of an AFOLU projects' portfolio.

  • Technical Supervision

Supervise the various technical aspects of project development, including design/operations, certification, monitoring, financial and contractual aspects from the opportunity phase through to implementation.

  • Strategic Interactions

Lead strategic interactions with the Project Implementer, validating and taking responsibility for all deliverables.

  • Commercial Activities

Provide technical contribution to commercial activities for project promotion and financing.

Team Development

Contribute to the structuring and development of the Climate Solutions team on project-related issues, including portfolio management, process improvement, and team skills development.

Non-Project Related Issues

Contribute to the structuring and development of the CS team on non-project related issues, including coordination with sales and operations teams, team skills development, and positioning of the Climate Solutions offering.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the development of large-scale projects for the VCM (VCS/Gold standard) with a preference for tropical areas
  • Experience in team management in a project context (1 to 5 people)
  • Field experience on ARR projects development (relationship with project implementer, contract negotiations, due diligence, business plans, monitoring plans, operational implementation, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of certification methodologies (ARR, IFM, etc.)
