Water Treatment Sales Opportunities in Africa

Veolia is seeking a skilled sales professional to lead our water treatment sales efforts in Africa.

As the Africa Sales Leader, you will be responsible for implementing our sales strategy and growing our customer base in this dynamic region.

Your primary focus will be on promoting and selling Veolia's water treatment technologies and solutions to end users, consultants, and EPC companies across Africa.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving and exceeding sales and growth targets in Africa through the promotion, specification, and sale of Veolia's water treatment portfolio of technologies.
  • Developing and securing business in Africa within the municipal and industrial water and wastewater sector.
  • Building a strong pipeline of project opportunities in Africa featuring Veolia's core technologies and solutions.
  • Managing relationships with channel partners and identifying new partners to support growth of Veolia's product sales in African countries and market verticals.
  • Negotiating and closing profitable contracts in line with Veolia's processes and guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Developing strong professional and strategic relationships with engineering consultants, EPC companies, end users, and key regional or sector influencers.

We are looking for a results-driven sales professional with a strong track record of success in sales and business development in Africa.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of technical experience in water/wastewater treatment.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of sales experience in Africa in the water and wastewater treatment market.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling water and wastewater membranes and equipment in the water and wastewater treatment industry.
  • Ability to promote and sell Veolia's products through distributors and resellers in the water and wastewater treatment market.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of customer organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English, French, and Arabic.
  • Enhanced computer skills, preferably with Google suite.
