About the Role:

As an Application Engineer Manager at Vertiv, you will play a key role in providing technical support and training to customers and sales teams for our thermal products and solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop technically and price-competitive applications for our thermal products to meet customer requirements where standard products do not fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of Application Engineers, ensuring they meet their targets and work in accordance with all policies and regulations.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Provide input for whitepapers, marketing materials, and other communication channels to promote our thermal products and solutions.
  • Activity Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize activities and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Customer Requirements: Review RFQs and identify customer requirements and specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide sales and pre-sales support with technical expertise on product specifications and applications.
  • Customer Engagement: Attend customer meetings with sales managers as a technical expert and create product and application presentations for customers and consultants.
  • Relationship Building: Visit consultants regularly, owning relationships and collaborating to develop effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in LOB products and installation, especially for data centers or equivalent.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English written and verbal required; second language of the in-scope group is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using C1 and Oracle Sales Cloud, experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems.
  • Customer Focus: High focus on customer needs.
