Roquette is a leading global company in plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Environment team.
Your MissionThe Head of Global Environment will play a critical role in driving our organization's environmental performance and sustainability. This position involves leading and coordinating our environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and inspiring colleagues to adopt a systematic approach to environmental initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental strategy aligned with our company's sustainability targets.
- Characterize and mitigate environmental risks, ensuring the development of effective remediation plans.
- Establish and deploy annual environmental roadmaps and programs.
- Define and deploy key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure environmental performance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with regional EHS managers and other functions to execute environmental initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transversal collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Propose improvement and investment plans to ensure environmental sustainability.
- Ensure the maintenance of managerial and technical competencies within the EHS network.
- Develop training programs to support environmental strategy and increase awareness and competencies.
- Participate in key governance bodies to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into critical projects and decisions.
- Build and coordinate the group environment audit program.
- Represent Roquette in external organizations and associations.
- Strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
