Job Overview

Within the finance division of Natixis, you will be part of the Analytics, Controls & Investigations team within the Valuation Group, serving as a valuation analyst. This team is tasked with managing the 'fair valuation' framework for financial instruments, which includes aspects such as 'fair' and 'prudent' valuation adjustments, XVA, and IPV, while generating fair value metrics.

Key Responsibilities

On a daily basis, your role will encompass:
  • Serving as the primary contact for matters related to Prudent Valuation;
  • Upholding the team's principles and policies regarding prudent valuations;
  • Collaborating with Front Office, Risk, and Finance to design and implement prudent valuation adjustments for the organization;
  • Engaging in discussions regarding process enhancements related to prudent valuation;
  • Conducting quarterly assessments on valuation adjustments and verification systems, alongside performing analyses on valuation components;
  • Documenting these assessments and evaluating the risk levels associated with any identified weaknesses;
  • Formulating remediation plans for identified weaknesses and overseeing their execution;
As a valuation analyst, you will contribute to the financial management's understanding of complex valuation issues and the ongoing enhancement of the bank's valuation framework. You will operate in an international setting, within a community of experts dedicated to excellence, impact, and collaborative efforts.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

About you: if you identify with the following attributes, you are well-suited for this role.
You possess a higher education background in mathematics or engineering with a focus on market finance, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in auditing, consulting, or risk management roles within market activities.

You are knowledgeable about:

• The intricacies of financial instrument valuation (Fair Valuation, Prudent Valuation, Independent Price Verification, etc.) across various asset classes;

• Project and team leadership.

You exhibit strong interpersonal skills, exceptional listening abilities, and are:

• Detail-oriented and recognized for your writing proficiency;

• Experienced in collaborating with demanding stakeholders, including operational teams, senior management, and regulatory bodies (statutory auditors, internal audit, supervisors, etc.).

You are proficient in English at a C1/C2 level.
