About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides, focusing on the crucial role of cyanobacteria in carbon capture and climate change mitigation.
Research Focus
- Investigate the mechanisms by which cyanobacteria capture CO2 from the atmosphere.
- Develop innovative tools and techniques to quantify CO2 uptake by cyanobacteria.
- Examine the impact of climate change on CO2 capture processes and cyanobacterial metabolism.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for addressing global carbon emissions.
Work Environment
This research position offers a unique opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team at the forefront of climate science. You will collaborate with leading researchers in physics, biology, and environmental science at both the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides and the Institute of Integrative Biology of the Cell.
Qualifications
- A strong academic background in a relevant field such as microbiology, ecology, or biophysics.
- Demonstrated research experience in areas related to cyanobacteria, carbon cycling, or climate change.
