Context of the Role
As a key player in the energy transition, John Cockerill Hydrogen is driving innovation in the design, manufacturing, and installation of pressurized alkaline electrolyzers. With over 200 MW delivered in 2021, John Cockerill Hydrogen is a world leader in the production of green hydrogen.
About the Team
Our team is comprised of experts in the field of hydrogen technology, working together to develop innovative solutions that meet the demands of the industry. As a Materials Scientist, you will be part of this dynamic team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth studies to optimize the performance and operability of pressurized alkaline electrolyzers, with a focus on the rings and seals.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
- Analyze and interpret testing data to inform design improvements and optimize production processes.
- Prepare and release engineering documentation to ensure seamless communication across teams.
- Collaborate with research organizations and suppliers to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.
- Work closely with stack designers to ensure the smooth integration of components within the stack.
- Contribute to the development and protection of intellectual property to safeguard our innovations.
- Supervise and coach subcontracted development programs to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist with funding proposals and work with funding agencies to secure resources for our projects.
