Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the battery sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing cost estimates, cost planning, and cost management services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cost estimates and cost planning services for battery manufacturing projects
- Assist in feasibility studies and procurement reports
- Manage procurement activities, including bid analysis and contract administration
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients
- Provide input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts
- Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages
- Lead cost management teams and ensure delivery of accountabilities
- Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to line managers
- Improve cost management procedures, templates, and products
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in cost estimation and cost management
- Experience in construction, industrial, battery, semi-conductors, pharma, and/or manufacturing sectors
- Knowledge of MEP and clean/dry rooms is an advantage
- RICS or equivalent accreditation (or working towards)
- Member of a Professional Institute preferred
- Good technical experience in all cost management areas
- Good understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience of leading cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects
- Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters
- Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
- Great organizational skills; ability to multi-task and be a team player
- Hands-on attitude and willing to spend time on the construction site
- French and English language skills
