Job Overview

As a Legal Counsel within the Legal Division, you will collaborate with a team of 7 professionals dedicated to the development and distribution of our open-ended fund offerings.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be an integral part of a proactive team of legal experts supporting AXA IM's management and commercial operations both domestically and internationally, with a focus on retail financial products and distribution channels. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, reflecting the global nature of our operations and necessitating engagement with various AXA IM departments. Your advisory functions will include:
  • Providing legal guidance for the structuring of our financial products,
  • Evaluating legal ramifications associated with modifications in cross-border fund offerings,
  • Negotiating agreements with fund stakeholders,
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance for our funds and partnerships.
Legal Support for Product Distribution
  • Overseeing registration procedures for French, Luxembourgish, and Irish funds across the EU and Asia, collaborating with local advisors,
  • Assessing client presentations and marketing materials,
  • Negotiating distribution agreements and contracts.
Conducting Legal Research and Consultations on European product regulations and financial distribution legislation.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications
  • Law degree (Master's level) with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Asset Management, specializing in collective investment schemes and international financial distribution (UCITS/AIF),
Essential Skills
  • Exceptional writing and analytical capabilities,
  • Ability to foresee legal risks,
  • Collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal skills,
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented,
  • Driven to thrive in a dynamic international setting,
  • Interest in finance and collective investment management,
  • Proficiency in English (both oral and written).
