As a prospective Lead Financial Asset Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Financial Fund Management within the PRIME division, becoming an integral part of the AXA IM PRIME business unit.

AXA IM Prime serves as a facilitator for private markets and hedge funds, providing a variety of private market return sources, including private equity, infrastructure equity, private debt, and hedge funds. With €40 billion in alternative investments under management and a dedicated team of experienced investment professionals focused on proactive ESG practices and stringent risk management, AXA IM Prime prioritizes transparency and dependability. The firm manages €5 billion in commitments annually over the next three years and employs over 100 professionals across multiple locations.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective execution of operations related to the financial oversight of alternative funds.

Fund Establishment

  • New Fund Initiation: Engage in the launch of new alternative funds by coordinating operational setups, liaising with service providers (Fund Administrator, Transfer Agent, Depositary, and Custodian), managing investor onboarding (KYC, AML, subscription documentation), and leading internal and board approval processes.
  • Investment Integration: Foster communication with stakeholders, update systems, complete subscription documentation, and oversee AML KYC for the division.

Financial Oversight

  • Capital Management: Oversee capital calls and distributions from investments, record transactions, execute payments, and perform cash reconciliations while defining budgets and instructing calls and distributions to Limited Partners (LPs).
  • Liquidity Oversight: Conduct liquidity stress assessments, monitor fund cash flow, and manage investment transfers.

Portfolio Evaluation

  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate fund performance metrics (IRR, MOIC, Cash Yield) and risk indicators (liquidity stress tests, FX risk, concentration limits), ensuring effective management of ALM and commitments.

Investor Engagement

  • Investor Liaison: Address investor inquiries, generate quarterly reports, and ensure a seamless investor experience.

Governance and Compliance

  • Board Documentation: Prepare agendas, supporting materials, and minutes for board meetings, draft documentation for internal committees, and maintain process documentation and control cards.

Transformation Initiatives

  • Project Involvement: Actively participate in departmental transformation initiatives.

Experience & Skills:

  • Operational Fund Oversight: Proven experience in operational fund management (middle/back-office function), particularly in the realm of private assets.
  • Private Asset Acumen: Strong understanding of private assets.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Familiarity with the asset management regulatory landscape.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in PYTHON.
