Account Manager

As an Account Manager at Expeditors, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Penetrate Organizational Structure: Develop relationships at all levels of our clients' organizations, beyond the main point of contact.
- Understand Customer Strategy: Gain a deep understanding of our clients' business and strategy, and our role within it.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are being met and make adjustments as necessary.
- Communicate Service Issues: Inform Department Managers/Supervisors of any service issues that may impact our clients.
- Identify Business Opportunities: Identify opportunities to grow our business with existing clients.
- Manage Client Profiles: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client profiles in our CRM system.
- Build Territory Maps: Create maps showing the number of accounts located in each city.
- Provide Technical Updates: Share technical updates with clients to ensure they are aware of any changes or new services.
- Coordinate Account Visits: Share weekly schedules with departments to coordinate joint account visits.
- Turn Over Business Opportunities: Turn over major business opportunities and proposals to Sales and operational issues to Ops.
- Manage Business Reviews: Oversee the management of Business Reviews.
- Continuously Improve: Continuously seek ways to improve procedures and services to create more efficient and cost-effective operations.
Qualifications:
- University or Equivalent: University or equivalent business qualifications.
- Minimum 3 Years Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Expeditors or industry.
- Proven Work Experience: Proven work experience in business development.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM: Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate up and down the management hierarchy with equal effectiveness.
- Strong Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills and analytical skills.
- Proven Project Management: Proven project management skills.
- Problem Solving and Interpersonal Skills: Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in French & English: Fluent in French and English.
