Head of Long Tail Underwriting Commercial Lines

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Long Tail Underwriting Commercial Lines. This is a key role within the AXA Group, responsible for driving the development and implementation of underwriting strategies for commercial lines of business.
Key Responsibilities- Underwriting Strategy and Guidance: Develop and implement underwriting strategies for commercial lines of business, ensuring alignment with the Group's overall business objectives.
- Technical Excellence: Promote technical excellence within the underwriting function, ensuring that underwriters have the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of commercial lines of business, ensuring that portfolios are aligned with the Group's risk appetite and business objectives.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other functions, including pricing, claims, and reinsurance, to ensure that underwriting strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including entities, regions, and markets, to ensure that underwriting strategies are aligned with their business objectives.
- Experience: Proven experience in underwriting commercial lines of business, with a strong understanding of underwriting principles and practices.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of underwriting, pricing, claims, and reinsurance, with a strong understanding of business insurance rationale, processes, and profitability.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve business objectives.
