About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Professional to join our team at SIMPLEX Recruitment. As an Area Sales Manager - Engineering Plastics, you will be responsible for managing sales and business development activities of thermoplastic compounds across various industries in France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Director.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships based on trust and partnership.
  • Provide regular progress updates, including sales forecasts and customer meeting reports.
  • Identify, quantify, and action new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Existing sales experience of thermoplastic compounds with a successful track record of independently developing a new customer base.
  • Ability to acquire new clients through a value-added sales approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal skills and an inner drive to generate satisfactory results.
  • A sufficient understanding of plastics processing methods, preferably with previous hands-on experience.
  • A good knowledge of specialty compounds, their applications, and material properties.
  • A self-propelling, motivated, independent project manager, who is able to set own objectives.
  • Fluency in French and English are required. Additional European languages would be advantageous.
  • Willingness and readiness to travel, mainly domestically, but also internationally for internal meetings, trade fairs, conferences, etc.
