The Advancement department at INSEAD is dedicated to fundraising and developing relationships with alumni and donors. It plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s strategic initiatives and promoting engagement within the INSEAD community.

INSEAD is seeking a **Senior Manager Operations**to join our **Advancement Department**. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our **Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France**. A hybrid working model is in place - 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

**About the job**

Compliance is one of the key pillars of Advancement Operations. As Senior Manager Operations, you will support the Senior Director of Operations in compliance activities by managing the Gift Processing Team, overseeing Gift Agreements, overseeing due diligence, and assisting in any other compliance-related activity as required. These activities heavily impact risk to INSEAD and play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and institutional standards. Your responsibilities will safeguard the INSEAD's reputation, foster donor trust, and maintain the integrity of financial and philanthropic operations.

**Your role within the team**
- Management of Gift Processing Team: manage a team of 3 to ensure the highest compliance, accuracy, transparency, and timeliness for processing gifts given to INSEAD from one of its 14 foundations and their affiliated financial collecting entities.
- Oversee Gift Agreements: work closely with the Legal Department, Senior Director of Operations, Foundations, and fundraisers and manage from beginning to end the creation, review, and execution of Gift Agreements, ensuring compliance and excellent record-keeping according to policy.
- Oversee Due Diligence: work closely with the Legal Department, Senior Director of Operations, fundraisers, and when necessary, Advancement Business Intelligence, oversee the due diligence process for Advancement at INSEAD, ensuring that it is completed thoroughly, in all necessary instances, as well as reported on to relevant stakeholders according to policy.
- Assist the Senior Director of Operations in all areas of compliance: this may include data protection (GDPR), Advancement interactions and dealings with external legal entities (such as foundations, payment gateways, or Alumni Associations), as well as policy and document maintenance, enforcement and inculturation.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in accounting, law, finance, political science, ethics, or some related field)
- Minimum of 7 year's work experience, preferably in a related field (finance, law, accounting, policy, or even office management). Preferably with experience managing personnel
- Highly organised and meticulous; Calm under pressure; Diplomatic
- Passionate about bringing people together to solve problems and create synergy, ensuring that everyone contributes to the team’s success
- Demonstrate integrity by making decisions that are ethical, transparent, and in line with organisational values
- Proficient in Accounting and MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Highly Proficient in English
