You will be attached to Downstream Processes (DP), a multi-cultural cluster composed by engineers and technicians organized in three teams, working on development and deploying process solutions for ArcelorMittal.

**Your role**

As R&D project leader, you will have to propose new ideas, make a competitors and suppliers survey, foster university partnerships to generate new solutions in our plants. Business travels will allow you to work with partners in a worldwide perimeter and to experience different working cultures.

You will be in charge of developing & deploying process solutions to ensure a better quality to our customers in terms of flatness and final dimensions for steel products.
Besides, you be fully involved in projects related to:

- Adapt and/or reinvent existing processes and develop new products to pursue the ArcelorMittal progress towards carbon neutral steel (mobility, climate transformation, CO2 mitigation).
- Participate actively of the digital transformation of ArcelorMittal.
- Improve the productivity & reliability of ArcelorMittal production lines.

Immediately, you will be involved in following activities:

- Technical assistances to improve process conditions in existing lines (capacity, reliability, costs) composed by industrial trials, numerical simulations and process analyses for different sites of ArcelorMittal, in a worldwide perimeter.
- To support new product developments, including new steel grades for electrical vehicles.

**Your profile**
- You hold a Masters' degree in Mechanical and/or Material Engineering; a PhD would be considered as an advantage.
- Experience in Automation & Regulation Control, with Predictive Maintenance and/or in Process Engineering would be a plus.
- Programming skills (Python, or any other language would be a plus).
- You are innovative, curious and results oriented.
- You have outstanding communication skills, excellent social skills when working on a project with a multi-cultural environment.
- You are willing to travel worldwide
